He is a Polymer technologist having more than 25 years of experience in technical services and application development area in polymers like LDPE, LLDPE,HDPE, PP, PVC, EVA, UHMW-HDPE and Metallocene LLDPE. He was in Product Application and Development of IPCL, Vadodara and was responsible for grade developments of PP and PE. Subsequently he worked as Technical Services & Business Development Manager in RIL. At present, he is in Indian Oil Corporation Limited, looking after Technical Services and Application Development activities in Petrochemicals.
He is currently responsible for new market development, niche grade introductions, grade modifications to meet emerging customer needs in addition to new additive & catalyst selection for grades. He is also part of Corporate group for development and implementation of new business initiatives etc.
He has widely travelled and undertaken training abroad in Polymer applications and has published several articles in different polymer journals and has exposure to different Plastics Processing techniques: Raffia Extrusion, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Rotational Moulding, Blown Film Extrusion etc.
He is a committee member in BIS in sectional committee on Plastics in PCD 12, CED 50 and TXD 23.
