In this Packaging 360 Leadership Interview with Dr. Rangaprasad of Packaging 360, Mr. Ivan Loyen, VP, Premier Tech Systems and Automation, explains the 100-year-old legacy of the company with a global engineering expertise, which has fundamental roots in technology and innovation, yet has people and customers on the same plane during its growth journey.
Being a global company, technology is easily adapted to suit local market requirements. The ability to understand customer specifications, backed by excellent services and training programmes, have enabled the company to earn loyal customers. Research and Development is a strong function in the company, which has brought many innovative solutions to the market.
A recent example being the solution for bagging of flour, which has increased speed and accuracy of filling for a high-volume low-priced end product. Mr. Loyen believes India is a big market with immense potential for adopting advanced packaging solutions. He is also hopeful of Indian management taking cognizance of growing importance of automation and intelligent systems in their plan to offset any disruption on account of absence of labor and impact of the pandemic.

Mr Ivan Loyen is the Vice President for Asia Pacific of Premier Tech System and Automation. Prior to joining Premier Tech, Mr Loyen has been serving in various multinational companies such as Pirelli and Prysmian in various senior roles in quality and procurement. He is now based in Bangkok – Thailand.
