Uflex Ltd., a flexible packaging firm, has showcased a newly developed recycling machine at IndiaPlast 2019, the five day exhibition held in Greater Noida. The new machine is said to be the simple and cost-effective method to transform used plastics into pellets that can be used for making products used in daily life.

At the event, the company gave a Live Demonstration of its Recycling Machine at the Green Pavilion of PMMAI. The pavillion showed how Multi-layer Packaging (MLP) Waste is recycled into pellets through a fairly simple method. The subsequent process of pellets being manufactured into useful Industrial & Household Products was showcased simultaneously. Essential products manufactured from recycled pellets like benches, floor and wall tiles, ladder etc. were displayed at the booth highlighting how multi-layer plastic waste can not only be recycled, but also re-used.

“It is true that plastics take a long time to degrade. But it is possible to turn this long shelf life of plastic into an advantage using the right technology,” said Uflex CMD Ashok Kumar Chaturvedi.

Uflex will be sharing the technology, used by it for MLP waste recycling, with Convertors, Food companies and Recyclers. The technology would include supplying the Recycling machine and the technology.

Meanwhile, Uflex also exhibited the best-in-class products and solutions from all its seven businesses at IndiaPlast 2019.
