The solution we are presenting at Ipack-IMA 2022 is an OK Compost certified biodegradable food packaging made with Ticinoplast film obtained from Novamont’s MATER-BI biopolymer, printed by Masterpack on a flexographic machine with compostable inks and then packaged on an IMA Ilapak Vegatronic 6400HD bagging machine.
It is a new biodegradable and compostable MATER-BI wrapping material, compliant with the International standard UNI EN 13432, suitable for both lamination and single use in the packaging food industry. In particular, the solution on display at the show, will be configured to handle fresh-cut salad applications.
This material offers excellent transparency and sealing characteristics, lends itself to coating and metallization processes and also guarantees perfect runnability during the packaging process. Similar solutions are available also for lamination, coating and metallization.
At the IMA stand at Ipack-IMA, Hall 5P – Stand B23 C24, visitors will have the opportunity to see the IMA Ilapak vertical line in action – consisting of a VFFS Vegatronic 6400HD machine combined with a WA 16-25 multi-head weigher – which will produce pillow bags using this innovative sustainable film.
