British pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline will host The Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association’s (AIPIA) 2018 Congress Challenge on 19-20 November in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

At the event, GSK will challenge the Active & Intelligent Packaging (A&IP) companies to demonstrate how innovative technologies can provide paths to improved consumer interaction and engagement at retail shelf and through e-commerce stores. The company will also ask how A&IP can add compliance, value, personalization, interactive packaging platforms with artificial intelligence, with localized alerts on allergen and pain triggers for example, while retaining a context of a sustainable environment.
