The Single-Use Plastics (SUPs) Challenge has officially concluded, with the pilot projects successfully avoiding a total of 934.7 kg of plastics with 60 foodservice businesses throughout the program! Over the past ten months, the program supported eight Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) and 76 start-up’s across five countries in South and Southeast Asia, with funding from PREVENT Waste Alliance and ECCA Family Foundation

A wealth of insights and data to fuel the fight against plastic pollution in the food and beverage industry was generated from the entire cohort. From this, we are proud to share with the community, in collaboration with PXP Sustainability and The Circulate Initiative, an insights report, life cycle assessment report, and technical playbook have been developed to shed light on the impact and potential for growth of these solutions.
