The Indian demographics supports the extraordinary growth of packaged goods across segments as is evident from available statistics. However, it is important to bear in mind that a simple switch from plastics to paper is not really the answer to managing the waste, nor a sustainable solution.

Packaging design & development will continue to be guided by basic principles of packaging which is preservation & protection of goods within & deliver value to consumer.

In the next ten years, collaboration will be the key to develop & manage packaging waste at the end of its service life.
