An independent laboratory testing of ‘S.-VF1’ known as ‘Samson Technology’ in the US by Colgate-Palmolive shows that it can be recycled in a high-density polyethylene containers (HDPE) recycling stream, with minor recyclability issues. ‘S.-VF1’ is a directly printed toothpaste packaging made of HDPE containing 5% (by weight) of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) barrier, and a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) insert.
In an exclusive agreement, Dow has announced that Avangard Innovative (AI), will supply post-consumer resin (PCR) plastic film pellets to Dow. Gerresheimer is expanding its range of pre-fillable polymer syringes to include a new product: the Gx RTF ClearJect polymer needle syringe, 2.25 ml. Like the 1.0 ml syringe, this syringe will be produced in Pfreimd, Germany. The new product will be showcased at Pharmapack in Paris Booth B60/B64.
