Cargill’s oils business in India has redesigned its packaging by cutting down on the amount of raw plastic used across all products. In association with Dow Chemical, the business reformulated its plastic material, making 90% of its plastic packaging recyclable.

AV Birla group flagship Hindalco Industries is betting big on the packaging and transport containers segment, a top company official said on November 19.

The move is due to the low per capita use of aluminium in the country which is at 2.6 kg now and being the largest producer of the metal, it gives an added advantage to the AV Birla flagship.
